The Balranald Football and Netball Club is based at GREENHAM PARK in the town of Balranald in the Riverina region of New South Wales. The club was founded in 1887. They have agreed to hosting the HF Radio Club for the Annual Get Together this year again.
This is an extensive park with racetrack, football ground and an excellent Club house with toilets, showers, kitchen, etc.
Camping will be available at Greenham Park, although powered sites are limited. Cost - $40 Power, $20 no Power.
There are Motels and a Hotel for off-site accommodation. There are three Motels: the closest to Greenham Park is the Balranald Club Motel.
There is an excellent IGA store, great Bakery, excellent RSL Club, service stations and various other shops and conveniences, and of course the amazing Information Centre and Discovery Centre with free hot showers, toilets and a Café. There is a 24 hr bitumen overnight rest stop behind St Vinnies or outside the Swimming Pool, near the water tower.
Balranald is situated of the situated on the Sturt Highway. It is just under a nine-hour drive from Sydney, five hours from Melbourne and six hours from Adelaide. The Riverina wine region town of Griffith is three hours away and the nearest regional airport is in Mildura, less than a two-hour drive away. Surrounded by spectacular riverscapes and national park, Balranald is a great base to explore Yanga National Park, the World Heritage-listed Mungo National Park and iconic Australian rivers. You’ll also discover a beautiful heritage town brimming with history.
